Scott Gregory has been appointed director of operations for the South Florida Wildlife Center in Fort Lauderdale. Gregory most recently was director of the Great Bend Zoo in Great Bend, Kansas. Janet Meeks, education coordinato­r for the city of Delray Beach, has been appointed to the Milagro Foundation Inc. board of directors.

Julie Schneider has been named executive director of the Intercoast­al and Southwest divisions of the Children’s Home Society of Florida, which serves more than 1,800 children and families in Broward County and more than 2,500 children and families in Southwest Florida each year. Before joining the organizati­on, Schneider was with the South Carolina Department of Social Services for six years, most recently as the Beaufort County director of social services.
