Kevin Bernard Jackson planned an afternoon date with a 15-year-old boy but he ended up in jail with a $250,000 bond instead, court records show.

The 45-year-old Pembroke Pines man is accused of trying to solicit a child online and luring him to meet for sex.

At his initial court appearance Friday, it was revealed this was not the first time Jackson had sought sex with an underage teen despite knowing he was not healthy.

“The defendant stated that he learned that he had a communicable, very dangerous disease in the year 2000 and that he’s currently being treated for same,” said Broward Judge John Hurley, reading from an investiagtive report in court.

“The defendant claimed he would have advised the minor, which turned out to be the police officer in this case, prior to engaging in sexual activity,” Hurley read. “He would have advised him he had this very dangerous disease.”

The nature of Jackson’s alleged illness was not disclosed.

Pembroke Pines police arrested Jackson Thursday after investigators say he exchanged messages online and in texts with an undercover officer from the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

On Wednesday, Jackson messaged the undercover officer through a fake profile created in a smartphone app.
