AROUND THE HORN

-

Blue Jays: SS Troy Tulowitzki, out with a cracked collarbone since Sept. 12, returned Friday night against the Rays. He went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Manager John Gibbons said Tulowitzki would get Saturday off and then play in Sunday’s regular-season finale “to get some timing going.” ... LHP Mark Buehrle threw 6 2⁄3 innings in Friday night’s start to give him 198 and leave him just short of a 15th consecutive season of at least 200 innings.

Yankees: Manager Joe Girardi said it was “doubtful” that 2B Stephen Drew would play in the postseason after being diagnosed with a vestibular concussion. That probably means a Rob Refsnyder/Dustin Ackley platoon in the playoffs. ... Girardi said 14-game winner Nathan Eovaldi, out since Sept. 7 with inflammation in his right elbow, might be available out of the bullpen if the Yankees make it to the AL Division Series.

Mets: Rookie Steven Matz’s back injury will likely keep him out of the NL Division Series. The rotation would probably include Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, rookie Noah Syndergaard and 42-year-old Bartolo Colon.

Dodgers: If LHP Clayton Kershaw strikes out six Sunday against the Padres, he would be the first pitcher to reach 300 since Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling each did it in 2002. And at 27, Kershaw would be the youngest to reach 300 since Pedro Martinez in 1999.
