Electro-newwave trailblazers New Order will perform March 23 at the Fillmore Miami Beach, one of just six stops on a U.S. tour supporting the album “Music Complete.”

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at $68.50 for advance general admission, with a limited number of reserved seats available at a cost of $86.50. Get them at the Fillmore box office (1700Washington Ave.), at LiveNation.com and by calling 800-745-3000.

New Order, whose influence can be found everywhere from Madonna to Radiohead, consists of founding members Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert, with longtime keyboardist Phil Cunningham and bassist Tom Chapman. Among the band’s eternally popular synth-rock club hits are “Blue Monday,” “The Perfect Kiss” and “Age of Consent.”

Sumner, Morris and Peter Hook created New Order fromthe remnants of post-punk deities Joy Division after the 1980 suicide of vocalist Ian Curtis. Hook, whose bass gave New Order its extraordinary propulsion, remains estranged fromthe band.

Along with the U.S. tour, which occurs in March and closes in Miami Beach, New Order will play a handful of summer festivals in Europe, among them Sonar in Spain June18, Roskilde in Denmark July 2 and Oya in Norway Aug.12.

“Music Complete” is New Order’s ninth studio album, its first in more than a decade (London’s Guardian calls it a “fresh, danceable album with intriguing diversions”). The band recently released a new single, the pulsating and densely layered “Singularity,” which will be the basis for “a host of exclusive remixes.” With the release, the band announced a creative fan competition on awebsite created for the song: Singularity-NewOrder.com

The five most interesting fan contributions will be featured on the “Singularity” website permanently. To enter (all creative formats are welcome, the band says), email your contribution to new com before March 11.
