Record revenues reach $618Mfor UltimateSo­ftware

Ultimate Software met its goal topass the$600million revenue mark in 2015.

The Weston software maker, recently named the top tech workplace in the nation, said Tuesday that revenue last year was a record $618.1 million, up 22 percent froma year ago. Recurring revenues were up 23 percent for the year.

“2015 was another milestone year for Ultimate,” said Scott Scherr, founder and chief executive.

Net income was $22.7 million, or 76 cents a share, compared with $44.7 million, or $1.52 a share, for 2014. Excluding stock-based compensati­on and write-off of some assets, net income was $78.8 million compared with $61.8 million.

For the fourth quarter, Ultimate Software reported revenues of $170.7 million, a 26 percent increase. Net income was $9 million compared with $11.8 million in the same quarter last year.

Lastweek, Ultimate Software was ranked No. 1 on Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Technology list for 2016.

The company, which employs 1,100 in Weston and 2,931 total, is expanding its campus in Weston to add 400 jobs. In 2014, the Broward County Commission approved a local- and state-government incentive package totaling $2.6 million for Ultimate Software, once jobs are confirmed.
