After owning five restaurant­s in Aventura and Sunny Isles Beach over 25 years, chefMogenM­oller has jumped two counties north to debut this modern Danish/Northern European endeavor in the short-lived Fabien’s Bistro.

“Jasper’s menuwas created to capture West Boca’s need for a more elegant, upscale neighborho­od meeting place with a new twist on tried and true cooking methods,” saysMoller, best known for the Tivoli Restaurant inNorth Miami Beach. The Copenhagen native is the brother of JorgenMoll­er, who owns Out of Denmark restaurant in Delray Beach.

Signatures, served with spinach-artichoke dip, bread and soup or salad, include garlic mustard-crustedNew Zealand rack of lamb ($24.75, $32.75), roast half duck with apple chutney ($26.75), potato-wrappedNor­th Sea salmon ($23.75), seared prawns with griddled grit cake and Cajun cream sauce ($23.25) and seafood pan roast with saffron broth ($27.75). For dessert, creamfille­dDanish crepes are drizzled with raspberry sauce ($3.75). Dinner is served nightly, exceptMond­ays, amid a mix of abstract and traditiona­l artwork and varied pendant lighting. A crystal chandelier in a bird cage hangs under a large, soaring skylight. A brickwall with bookshelve­s accents creamwalls, and tables grace the sidewalk.
