Boy bands unite for song, movie

-

Put down your crimper, throwon your belly shirt and grab your Discman because the sound of the 1990s has come back to life.

More than two decades since they all first slid on to the music scene with their frosted tips and coordinating distressed denim, members of famed boy bands the Backstreet Boys, ’NSync, 98 Degrees andO-Town have lent their vocal stylings to a brand-new song.

Titled “In The End,” the track is a theme song for the upcoming film “Dead 7,” written by BSB’sNick Carter and starring Carter, ’NSync’s Joey Fatone, O-Town’s Trevor Penick and JacobUnderwood, and a handful of other former members of the four bands.

With the pulsing beat, the pitch-perfect harmonies and catchy chorus, the track may be just as catchy as “Bye, Bye, Bye” and “IWant It ThatWay” combined.

While members of ’NSync and earlier boy bandNew Kids On The Block have gone on tour and recorded songs together in the past, this is the first time members of these four groups have collaborated on not only a song but also a film.

While itwas often speculated that the groupswere rivals of each other, it seems nothing could be further fromthe truth.

“Iwantedmy friends in the film with me,” Carter previously told E! News. “What is more fun than riding horses and being zombies shooting things? Even as a kid I loved horror films. Thiswas always something I wanted to do.”
