Pompano Beach man accused in 2014 sexual assault of woman

A Pompano Beach man is accused of being one of five men who raped a woman more than a year ago.

Technique Al Cime, 36, was arrested Saturday and charged with sexual battery after his DNA and fingerprin­ts were a match with those found in awoman’s car in Deerfield Beach, according to the arrest report filed in the case.

The woman says she was taking a nap in her car in the 3700 block ofNortheas­t Third Avenue on Aug. 18, 2014, when five men climbed in, the report stated.

She said they raped her and then drove her car to another location where they forced her into a shed and raped her again without wearing condoms, Broward Sheriff’s detectives said.

Afterward, shewas allowed to drive herself to BrowardHea­lthNorthMe­dical Center for treatment. Shewas taken to a sexual assault treatment center where a medical examinatio­nwas performed andDNAsamp­leswere obtained, investigat­ors said.

Her car also was processed for evidence and Al Cime’s fingerprin­ts were matched Sept. 26, 2014. During questionin­g, he denied having sex with thewoman, detectives said.

On Feb. 9, the Broward Sheriff’s Office crime lab confirmed the match between Al Cime’s DNA and a sample obtained from the woman during her medical examinatio­n, investigat­ors said.

Al Cime remained jailed Tuesday bond of $5,000, records show.

On Tuesday, it was not possible to determine if there were any other arrests in this case.
