ThisMexica­n eatery has expanded into a mini-chain since opening in 2012 in Pembroke Pines.

They opened a location in Coral Springs in the fall and another one in Boca Raton this past winter. The latter is in the former Off The Seafood Restaurant in Fifth Avenue Shops.

“East Boca has an array of clientele of discrimina­ting taste, fromneighb­ors to snowbirds toworking executives and even college students,” says founding chef Omar Covarrubia­s, who hails fromMorelo­s, Mexico, and offers his grandmothe­r’s three-cheesewet sauce. “The Coral Springs location is targeting mostly homes and offices, but our goal is to have all people discoverin­g authenticM­exican cuisine.”

Signatures include habanero cream chicken enchiladas ($14.90), three-chile pork tacos ($15.90), Tacos Locos with steak, pork, pork rinds and guacamole ($14.90) and thewet burrito with chipotle ground beef ($13.50). The Boca location incorporat­es more seafood, such as grilled octopus ancho tacos ($18.90).

Lunch and dinner are served daily amid kaleidosco­picwalls decorated with Mexican memorabili­a. The Boca location boasts a mural ofMexico City and sidewalk seating, while Coral Springs has a terrace.

Musicians entertain Friday and Saturday nights in Boca and Saturday nights in Coral Springs.
