Marlins: Adeiny Hechavarri­a hadfour hits, including one of the Marlins’ four solohomeru­ns, in a 7-5 win over the Brewers. The victory came one night after the Marlins took a combined no-hitter into the ninth inning after Don Mattingly pulled Adam Conley after 116 pitches despitehav­ing ano-hitter for 72⁄ innings. “Itwas easy right 3 there,” Mattingly said of the decision. “I knew he couldn’t finish. We weren’t going to let him finish.” Conley’s career high for pitcheswas 106 last season.

Mets: Michael Conforto and Wilmer Flores homered and the Mets won their eighth in a row, beating the Giants 6-5. Jacob deGrom allowed three runs (none earned) on two hits in six innings. Thecrowd of 44,466was the largest for a regular-season game at Citi Field since the park opened in 2009, with a lot of fans attracted by the Noah Syndergaar­d Garden Gnome giveaway.

RedSox: Jackie Bradley Jr. and Mookie Betts had three RBIs apiece and David Ortiz homered in an 8-0 shutout of the Yankees. RickPorcel­lo (5-0) had six strikeouts and gave up five hits in seven innings to tie for the majorleagu­e lead in wins. Porcello has pitched at least six innings in each of his last 13 starts, the longest active streak in the majors. The Red Sox will look to sweep the series Sunday night withDavid Price on the mound.

Pirates: Francisco Lirianowon for the first time since opening day and John Jaso homered to open the bottom of the first in a 5-1 victory over the Reds. It was the Pirates’ sixth straight win and Reds’ sixth consecutiv­e loss. Liriano allowed one run on five in 62⁄ innings, striking out six. 3

Nationals: Jayson Werth hit a three-run homer in a four-run first and added an RBI single in the eighth in a 6-1 victory over the Cardinals. JoeRoss (3-0) allowed one run on six hits in six innings — and his ERA rose to 0.79. The Nationals go for a sweep Sunday.
