Adele: ‘I don’t care’ about Brangelina split

Remember when Adele led a group therapy session that practically healed all our open wounds surrounding Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s shocking split? Yeah, shewas completely joking about all that. In case you missed it, the Grammy winner dedicated her Madison Square Garden gig on Tuesday to the longtime celebrity couple, telling the audience, “Iwas shocked when I woke up this morning.”

Well, the British songstress had us fooled because, during Thursday’s NYC performance, she backtracked on her since comments about Brangelina.

“Iwould like to say I think it’s a bit sick you’re reporting on an absolute joke,” Adele told concertgoers.

The queen of breakup ballads continued: “I don’t care if they’ve broken up. … It made me out like Iwas heartbroken. I don’t care. I don’t know them. It didn’t work out. Break up if it doesn’t work out; that’s what I always do. Don’t work out? You leave him.”

And as ifwe needed more proof that Adele hasn’t lost a wink of sleep over their divorce drama, she added, “It’s ridiculous, what’s going on in theworld, and that’s front-page news.”

The “Hello” crooner then concluded, “I know I try and tell a lot of jokes, and maybe my delivery’s not always spot on. I’m not an actual comedienne, somy timing isn’t always great. I didn’t mean it. As if I went home crying that night about it, it’s ridiculous.”
