Ourwater supply’s already too taxed

- Judith Bays, Hollywood Mark Lippman, BocaRaton AllisonPayne, BocaRaton

The governmental powers that be are already hollering about water rationing, obviously, they say, because of low water supply. I will not ration any water. Lake Okeechobee has been drained substantially and consequently our water supply has diminished.

This is understandable. What is not understandable is that the water is low and the people in power want to build more apartment homes, single family homes, a giant shopping mall with water parks, etc. Where is all this water supposed to come from? Not fromme.

If water is already so low, stop building and encouraging more people to move here and more tourists to come here. Enough already. We are overburdened and traffic is a nightmare. What is wrong with the Florida government? Is the almighty dollar that important, or is it more important that the people who already live here have an amplewater supply? outcomes and longer life expectancy at a fraction of our cost.

The proposed health care plan was disjointed and ineffective. I have no problem with replacing Obamacare, which is a flawed program. We just need to put our heads together for the benefit of the country, not any one party. rules amounting to de facto bans on vacation rentals, stifling economic activity. To combat this overreach, Rep. Mike La Rosa introduced legislation to prohibit local bans on vacation rentals, while preserving local authority over health and safety issues.

I urge other legislators to follow the lead of Rep. La Rosa in his support of communities across Florida.
