New Dolphin Timmons reflects on an upsetting afternoon last season.

DAVIE Miami Dolphins linebacker Lawrence Timmons will never forget throwing up in the end zone at Hard Rock Stadium last season.

And if he does, someone will surely remind him.

“Story of my life,” said Timmons, who was playing for Pittsburgh last year. “I get it everywhere. ‘Are you that guy that was throwing up in the end zone?’

“It just comes with the territory. Football, you win some, you lose some, you just make fun of it and enjoy it.”

Timmons, the free-agent signee from the Steelers, was one of four players to speak with media members Tuesday after the Dolphins’ first practice of organized team activities.

Tuesday was the first time the team was able to engage in 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 drills. Coach Adam Gase and quarterback Ryan Tannehill are scheduled to address the media Thursday at theendof the first three-day session ofOTAs.

That left Timmons to reflect on his humorously unfortunate incident.

The Dolphins were playing the Steelers in October. Miami, which eventually won, 30-15, scored a touchdown with 21 seconds left in the second quarter to cut its deficit to 15-8. That’s when Timmons, who played collegiately at Florida State, squatted down and vomited a few times.

In true tough-guy fashion, Timmons, who ended the game with five tackles, never left the field.

Still, Timmons, a fierce hitterwhohas five consecutive seasons of 100 or more tackles, had to live with the social media cycle of losing his lunch on the field during a game.

Timmons did get a measure of revenge by helping the Steelers defeat the Dolphins, 30-12, in a wild-card playoff game in January.
