A Facebook tipster helped Boynton Beach Police identify a bike-riding package thief, leading to an arrest Monday, authorities said.

The tipster identified the man as Krisztian Lantos, 20, who has no fixed address. Lantos is accused of stealing two packages.

The first theft happened December 16, 2015, when a woman reported her package, for a $190 ring, delivered but missing from her home in the 1700block ofViaGranada. She checked her surveillance video to see a man roll up to her front door on a beach cruiser bike, put thepackage in a black bag, then ride away, according to the report.

About a year later, awoman reported seeing Lantos riding the same bike through her neighborhood on Jan. 8, 2017. An officer found Lantos and his girlfriend but, after taking a picture of Lantos and the bike, let them go, police said.

On June 26, a woman reported $125worth of Yeti cups being delivered to an apartment in the1600 block ofRenaissance Commons Boulevard but not finding the package when she arrived home, according to the report.

The woman checked surveillance videos for the complex to see a man walking away with her package.

Police used images from those cameras to post on their Facebook page. That’s when a tipster recognized Lantos, whowas arrested in St. Marys, Ga., on his way to Pennsylvania, police said.

Investigators spoke with St. Marys Police, who said they arrested Lantos on a DUI charge on July 5. Lantos was booked into Palm Beach County Jail on July 10. He facestwo counts of grandtheft andwas held without bond.
