South Florida continues its efforts to help the people of Texas reeling from Hurricane Harvey.
Donation stations
Miami Dolphins hosts Hurricane Harvey Donation Drive at Hard Rock Stadium, 347 Don Shula Drive, Miami Gardens; and Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University, 7500 SW 30th St., through Sept. 15. Donations will be sent directly to shelters in the Houston area. Seeking everyday items such as clothing, water, food, school supplies, batteries, candles, blankets, feminine hygiene products, socks. The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, at 5444 Haverhill Road, West Palm Beach, where the Houston Astros train, is accepting donations from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, said general manager Brady Ballard. There won’t be a collection today, but donated goods will be accepted again Monday through Wednesday.

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County has established an emergency relief fund. Those who wish to donate can do so online, by calling 561-852-5002 or by sending a check with the notation “Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund” to JFSPBC, 9901 Donna Klein Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33428.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami is accepting monetary donations through its website, ccadm.org. Catholic Charities, in conjunction with Catholic Charities USA, also will send staff to help with the relief efforts, spokeswoman Maria Rivas said.
