Arc Broward executive takes new title
After five years with Arc Broward, the nonprofit organization that serves individuals facing developmental challenges, Director of Development Jessica Rodriguez has now been promoted.
Rodriguez’s new title will have her taking on the role of chief marketing and development officer. Her responsibilities of fundraising and development will continue, with the added focus of leading and providing both operational and strategic direction to the nonprofit organization’s communications and marketing functions. In this new role, she will be helping to bring marketing and fundraising efforts together in order to support the growth of the agency’s financial resources that meet the needs of families served.
“We are extremely grateful to have Jessica on our team,” said Dennis Haas, the president and CEO of Arc Broward. “Jessica has embraced our mission and grown over the years to become a valued member of Arc Broward’s leadership team.”
Rodriguez said she hopes to continue Arc Broward’s mission of cultivating opportunities within the community for individuals facing disabilities and challenges. She said this will in turn create a community for children like her daughter to grow up in, where individuals of all abilities are embraced.
“What I love about Arc Broward is being part of a movement to transform our community,” said Rodriguez. “We are fierce advocates of changing perspectives and changing lives, something I know will make a difference for years to come.”
“Changing Perspectives, Changing Lives” is the new tagline from a recent rebranding campaign that was launched in celebration of Arc Broward’s 60th anniversary. Through the tagline, the nonprofit not only expresses its focus in helping enrich the lives of families and individuals with disabilities, but also how they hope to change the way people in the community perceive these individuals.
