Pitbull won’t be ushering in 2018 on Fox television.

Mr. 305, whose televised New Year’s festivities in Miami had become something of a tradition for the past three years, has been replaced by comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey.

No word on the reasons behind the switch, but network officials did say their New Year’s Eve show is moving to New York City.

“In his first-ever New Year’s Eve special with Fox, Harvey will bring his signature humor and hosting talents to this highly anticipated celebration taking place in the heart of New York City’s Times Square,” according to a news release from the network.

Pitbull fans who still want to celebrate with the rapper will have to leave home this year.

Pitbull is throwing his own New Year’s bash called “Pitbull’s Worldwide” party, but it doesn’t look like it will be televised.

The event will be at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd., and include 15 food stations, treats from Sugar Factory, cocktails and a champagne toast.

Tickets cost $295 to $495. For more details, visit worldwidenye.com.

The Cuban-American rapper, also known as Mr. Worldwide, dropped his “Greatest Hits” album on Dec. 1.

“Fox’s New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey: Live From Times Square’’ will air from 8 to 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. through 12:30 a.m.
