MidiCi brings its Neopolitan pizza to new West Palm Beach location
MidiCi — The Neapolitan Pizza Company
218 Clematis St., West Palm Beach, 561-619-5299, MyMidici.com
This second South Florida location of the 3-year-old MidiCi chain, founded in Los Angeles, upgrades the fast-casual pizza trend.
Appetizers include burrata plates with accompaniments such as melon and prosciutto ($9.95).
Thin-crust pizzas originating in Naples, Italy, cook at 1,000 degrees in 90 seconds in shimmery gold wood-burning ovens. You can build your own pizza in assembly-line fashion from 30-plus toppings (starting at $8.95) or choose from 18 specialty selections ($7.95-$14.25), such as The Devil’s (Diavola) with spicy sausage and spicy salami or the Shrimp Scampi with fresh mozzarella and arugula.
An ample selection of beer and wine is available. Save room for Nutella calzone with berries and balsamic drizzle ($6.45).
“On the wall is a set of handprints encouraging our guests to place their hands on the prints and remove them when they are no longer strangers,” franchisee Pedro El Khaouli says. “We play silent Italian movies on the wall and have an 11-foot live olive tree in the middle of the restaurant.”
Lunch and dinner are served amid a sleek black setting with chandeliers resembling DNA strands. The sidewalk offers seating, and restrooms are worthy of a resort.
