The Orange Bowl Committee announced eight new Active Members for the 2018-19 year. The are: Michael A. Cabanas, managing director and head of relationsh­ip developmen­t for Fiduciary Trust Internatio­nal of the South; Tony Coley, president-South Florida region, BB&T; Ygnacio L. GarciaSala­drigas, financial profession­al; John Lie-Nielsen, chief executive office, One Park Financial LLC; Patricia McKay, managing director and partner, Templeton & Co.; Les Pantin, associate, P3 Management, N.A; Wm. M. (Bill) Pierce, principal, Pierce Consulting Group Inc.; and Jonathan

Vilma, college football analyst, ESPN. With these additions, the Orange Bowl Committee consists of 360 members. Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward has named Lisa J. Rahman as president and chief executive officer. For the past seven years, Rahman was director of programs and grants at Goodman JFS. National Haitian American Elected Officials Network (NHAEON) recently selected North Miami Councilman Alix Desulme to serve on its 2018 board of directors as vice-chair. NHAEON is a nonpartisa­n coalition of elected and appointed government officials of Haitian decent, including judges, senators, state representa­tives, county commission­ers and city council members who collaborat­e to work in Haitian communitie­s nationally and to address issues of concern to Haiti. Leadership includes appointees nationwide. Other board members from Florida include: Chairwoman Victoria P. Siplin from Orange County and Treasurer Christina Romelus from Boynton Beach.
