PLAYOFFS TOP PERFORMERS
Junior wide receiver Marcus Rosemy is one of the most talented players in South Florida, and he showed why on Friday. The five-star prospect, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, had four catches for 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns as St. Thomas rolled to a 35-0 victory over Dywer to clinch a berth in the state semifinals.
Rosemy highlighted the top performers in the regional finals across Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Casteel did not have to do too much in the Raiders’ win, but he completed 6 of 9 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.
JUSTIN WAKE | KING’S ACADEMY
Wake finished Friday’s game with nine completions on 14 attempts, with none more important than his final pass. Wake tossed a 66-yard touchdown pass to Cory Croteau to put the Lions ahead 23-22 with 11 seconds left.

The senior linebacker and Miami commit led the Raiders’ defense with 12 tackles in the shutout.

The senior running back carried the ball 21 times for 123 yards and a touchdown as the Lions clinched a spot in the state semifinals.
BRODY PALHEGYI | CARDINAL GIBBONS
Palhegyi made his first career start against American Heritage and threw a pair of touchdown passes to Majon Wright to lead the Chiefs over the Patriots 35-7.

In addition to catching the game-winning 66-yard TD, Croteau had 10 tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack.

The senior running back and Pittsburgh commit racked up 134 yards, 47 of which came on a late touchdown run, in the victory over American Heritage.

The Chiefs senior linebacker scooped up a fumble and returned it about 10 yards for a touchdown to give Cardinal Gibbons an early lead over American Heritage.

Davis, a sophomore, had nine receptions for 110 yards on Friday. He scored the Patriots’ only touchdown on Friday, taking a short pass 48 yards for a TD late in the first half.

The Bucks’ junior running back continued his stellar season with a 131-yard, two-touchdown performance in Deerfield’s win over Palm Beach Central.

Moses set up one of Knighton’s two touchdown runs with an interception that he returned 35 yards.
NICK VATTIATO | UNIVERSITY SCHOOL
The sophomore QB set a season high with 389 passing yards on 13 completions. Vattiato threw four TDs in the Sharks’ 45-14 victory against Glades Central.

The senior star running back had another great game, rushing for 155 yards and a touchdown in U-School’s rout.

The senior accounted for two of Vattiato’s four passing TDs and brought in four catches for 139 yards.

Humphries punched in a short touchdown that cut USchool’s lead to 14-7. Unfortunately for Humphries and the Raiders, the Sharks pulled away.

The senior wide receiver scored against his former team, scoring from about 65 yards out and leaping over a Stallions defender on his way to the end zone.
