Country star Darius Rucker is returning to the friendly confines of poprock band Hootie and the Blowfish with a 44-city summer tour that stops at Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on June 8. The tour pairs the band with openers Barenaked Ladies.

Tickets for the concert went on sale Friday at LiveNation.com.

The Group Therapy Tour, which opens May 30 in Virginia Beach and closes Sept. 13 in their hometown of Columbia, S.C., is the first formal tour in more than a decade by Hootie and the Blowfish. The band reportedly is poised to release its first studio album since 2005’s “Looking for Lucky.”

The summer of 2019 will mark 25 years since Hootie and the Blowfish released the hook-laden breakout album “Cracked Rear View,” a multiplatinum collection that included the Grammy Award-winning single “Let Her Cry.” Other hits on the album included “Hold My Hand,” “Only Wanna Be With You,” “Time” and “Drowning.”

As a solo artist, Rucker has had 10 Top 10 singles on the Billboard country chart in the past decade, including five at No. 1.
