What is Florida’s most Googled love-related question?

- By Johnny Diaz South Florida Sun Sentinel

Florida seems to have a lot of cheaters.

That’s one takeaway from an analysis of the state’s most Googled-relationship terms: “I cheated on my girlfriend.”

For Valentine’s Day, Century LinkQuote, a reseller of Centurylink telecommunications products, looked at each state’s most searched relationship question. The company said the searches it compiled related to 10 main relationship questions from December 2017 to December 2018 from each state. Other key searches included “how to break up,’’ “how to get over a relationship” and “am I in love.”

Oregonians and Rhode Islanders were curious about having an “open relationship,” which ranked as the top search terms in those states, while folks in Mississippi needed help with “what to do on a date.”

Floridians shared in the same relationship drama as Californians, New Yorkers and Georgians with those states’ most looked up searches being “I cheated on my boyfriend/girlfriend.” Meanwhile in Alabama, the go-to search phrase was “does he love me.”

The most commonly Googled question nationwide? That was “how to break up.”

The study also found that “does he love me” was the top search for three more states than “does she love me,” which may suggest that people who date men are feeling insecure about whether their feelings are being returned.
