Neither party fixing nation’s real problems
It’s indisputable that this country has some serious problems.
The economy seems to be strong but our national debt has risen by more than $2 trillion over the past two years. Last week, the national debt reached a new milestone, topping $22 trillion for the first time in U.S. history.
The infrastructure is eroding with no solution in sight. Gun violence remains a serious problem even as we mark the one year anniversary of the Parkland mass shooting. The complex topic of immigration has boiled down to whether or not we need a wall on the southern border.
And our foreign policy seems to be centered on everyone paying their share for national security and fair trade agreements versus building relationships with our allies. Bottom line here, we really do not have a clearly stated foreign policy.
President Trump is focused on his wall and his re-election in 2020. The Democrats are focused on not funding the wall and winning the Presidency. How about fixing the nation’s damn problems.
