SOUTH FLORIDA HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR PRESIDENTS DAY 2019

Here’s what will be open and closed in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties on President’s Day today.

South Florida

Most banks will be closed. Post offices will be closed ; no regular mail delivery. Markets: NYSE, Nasdaq, Bond markets, will be closed.

Most federal, state, county court, governmental and municipal offices will be closed.

Broward County

Government/Schools Public schools will be closed.

The Circuit and County courts and the Administrative Office of the Courts will be open.

Services

Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954-359-1313, ext. 9273.

The Broward County Landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, will be closed.

All offices and health centers of the Florida Department of Health in Broward County will be open.

There will be regularly scheduled garbage, bulk and recycling pickup.

Entertainment

The county library system will be closed.

Broward County regional and neighborhood parks, nature centers and natural areas will be open with the exception of Deerfield Island Park, which will be closed per normal operating schedule.

Palm Beach County

Government/Schools Most county and municipal offices will be closed.

Public schools will be open.

The Palm Beach County government building will be closed. Trial courts will not be in session. Services

In unincorporated Palm Beach County there will be regular collection service.

Entertainment The county library system will be closed. Most county parks facilities will be open. Transportation

Palm Tran will operate a weekday schedule, administrative offices will be closed.

Miami-Dade County

Government/Schools Public schools will be closed.

Courts: Eleventh Judicial Circuit will be closed .

Services

There will be regularly scheduled waste and recycling service.
