DAVIE — The Miami Dolphins have parted ways with a former draft pick, placed a free-agent acquisition on injured reserve and signed two interior offensive linemen and a pass rusher as the team continues to transform its roster.

The roster moves came before the conclusion of Miami’s first week of organized team activities on Thursday, where Dolphins coaches and executives got a first glimpse of their players on the field before training camp opens in July.

The Dolphins waived/ injured offensive lineman Isaac Asiata, a former fifth-round pick by the Dolphins in 2017. Asiata was expected to compete for a position at left guard, but has appeared in only two games while spending the majority of the last two seasons on the practice squad.

Asiata likely will reach an injury settlement with the team before pursuing another opportunity in the NFL.

The Dolphins also placed receiver Ricardo Louis, who signed with the team last month, on injured reserve. Louis, a former fourth-round pick, spent three seasons with the Cleveland Browns.

In addition, the Dolphins signed center Tony Adams, guard Kyle Fuller and linebacker Nate Orchard.

Last season, Adams participated in training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars and new Dolphins offensive line coach Pat Flaherty. He finished the season on the New England Patriots practice squad, while new Dolphins offensive coordinator Chad O’Shea was a member of the coaching staff.

Fuller, who played in nine games for the Houston Texans in 2017, played in two games for the Washington Redskins last season.

Fuller was a three-year starter at Baylor, where he earned first-team All-Big 12 honors as a senior in 2016.

Orchard, a former second-round pick by the Browns, played three seasons in Cleveland.

Orchard spent last season with Buffalo and Kansas City.

Orchard has 69 tackles (42 solo), five sacks, one interception, five passes defensed and two forced fumbles in 37 career games.

The Dolphins also waived center Kirk Barron, who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent last week. Park Vista coach Larry Greenstein addresses his team after the Cobras beat Jupiter in the Class 9A regional quarterfinals in Lake Worth on Thursday.
