“Our chef owner and his wife came up with the concept … as far as the cuisine [it is] classics with a twist,” explains Ortiz. “Some of the recipes go back to antiquity. They’re grandma’s grandma’s grandma’s recipe from our chef owner. The best things that can be passed on is informatio­n, it’s knowledge. It’s a standard. It’s an expectatio­n.”

“We’re an elevated Italian chop house,” he says “Our signature dishes are going to be the ones that come back from Gennaro’s bloodline. Our pastas are going to be par none. Our flatbreads are going to be par none. Of course we feature USDA prime cuts as well. I mean we have a little bit of everything.
