More pastrami places (delis and others)
Andy’s Live Fire Grill, Fort Lauderdale: Owner Anthony Bruno offers a pretty good lunchtime pastrami sandwich, prepped outside but smoked in house, at the former site of Ernie’s BBQ.
Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen, Boca Raton: An outpost of a famed New York deli chain, it has decent sandwiches and an old-school vibe.
9942 Clint
Flakowitz Deli, Boynton Beach: Another oldschool deli that’s popular with New York transplants.
Jaxson’s Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Parlour and Restaurant, Dania Beach: Better known for its banana splits and sundaes, Jaxson’s makes a good pastrami sandwich. General Manager Jerry Smith says the restaurant no longer cures or smokes meat in house, but it finishes outside product in a proper way, served on marble rye with pickle and tart cole slaw.
Mo’s Bagels and Deli, Aventura: A bagel shop and deli run by an affable Egyptian (the Mo is short for Mohamed) turned deli maven.
Myron’s Deli, Pompano Beach: A bad day at the slots or poker tables is soothed by a bowl of chicken soup and commercially prepared pastrami at this deli inside the Isle Casino.

Pomperdale Deli, Fort Lauderdale: An old-school deli that has had multiple owners and loyal supporters. I wasn’t thrilled with my last pastrami sandwich here, but I always get a kick from the cries of “Subway!” when you contribute to the counter tip jar (it’s a New York thing).
Pickle Barrel, Deerfield Beach: Another oldschool deli that’s lasted a long time.
133 E. Hillsboro
Ruven’s Restaurant, Delray Beach: A restaurant and deli that’s popular with snowbirds and tristate retirees.
13800 Jog
3Gs Deli, Delray Beach: Another old-school deli that will make former New Yorkers feel at home.

Top Hat Deli, Fort Lauderdale: A modern twist on deli that attracts a hip, diverse downtown crowd from Elliot Wolf and his Be Nice Restaurant group.
