Hall of Famer Taylor to join Dolphins preseason broadcast team.

- By Omar Kelly

A Miami Dolphins legend will join the team’s preseason television broadcast as an analyst.

Jason Taylor, a sixtime Pro Bowler who was named to the Hall of Fame in 2017, will be replacing Nat Moore in CBS-4’s three-man booth, working alongside Dick Stockton and former Dolphins quarterback Bob Griese, according to a league source.

The Miami Herald was the first to report the changes being made to the broadcasting booth. No formal announcement of the move has been made by either the Dolphins or CBS-4.

Moore will remain with the Dolphins in his role as senior vice president of special projects and alumni relations. However, he stepped aside from his role in the broadcast booth to make room for Taylor, who has been a target for an organizational role with Miami for quite a while.

Taylor spent last year’s training camp working as a volunteer coach for the Dolphins, helping out with the pass rushers. He has spent the past few years working as an assistant coach with St. Thomas Aquinas, the school his children attend.

Taylor has previously worked as a studio analyst for NBC Sports and ESPN, and he spent last year working as a Sunday Night Football analyst on Westwood One’s radio broadcasts.

During his 15-year NFL career, Taylor totaled 775 tackles, 139 1⁄2 sacks, 46 forced fumbles, 29 fumble recoveries and eight interceptions. He also scored three touchdowns.

He’s one of 15 former Dolphins players, coaches or executives who have been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
