Junior QB Marucci accounts for 6 TDs in Benjamin’s shutout win

Benjamin junior quarterbac­k and Super 11 selection Santino Marucci found the end zone six times in the Buccaneers’ 40-0 win over Miami LaSalle.

The junior quarterbac­k was 7 of 10 for 163 yards and two passing touchdowns, but it was on the ground where he had the biggest impact. Marucci added four carries for 54 yards and four touchdowns for the Buccaneers in just one half of action.

Lavonshea Wright Stranahan: The Mighty Dragons’ senior quarterbac­k led his team to a win over Taravella with 305 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. He added 75 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.

James Dailey King’s Academy: The senior quarterbac­k was 15 of 21 for 338 yards and five touchdowns and added 120 yards rushing on 11 carries as the Lions cruised past North Broward Prep 56-26.

Shemar Monprevil | Stranahan: Monprevil led Stranahan’s defense with 10 tackles and three sacks.

Anarjahe Douriet Palm Beach Central: The Broncos senior quarterbac­k had 225 yards passing and three touchdowns in a 53-0 win over Olympic Heights.

Justin Hodges | Western: The Wildcats’ senior cornerback had 55-yard pick-six in Western’s

a74-0 rout of Miami Springs. The Miami commit also had two tackles, a pass break-up and one fumble recovery.

Bryan Robinson Palm Beach Central: The Broncos senior wide receiver had 100 yards receiving and pulled in two touchdowns in the 53-0 victory over Olympic Heights.

Ricky Williams | Western: Western’s center had six pancake blocks and didn’t allow a sack, allowing the Wildcats to run over Miami Springs.

Tre’Von Taylor | Palm Beach Lakes: The junior quarterbac­k was 9 for 11 for 170 yards and four touchdowns as the Rams beat host Glades Central 44-13.

Gerard Nesbitt | Plantation: Nesbitt continued his strong start to the year by going 14 for 21 for 208 yards and three passing touchdowns — one each to Devin Howard, Jacolby George and Amari Jones. Nesbitt added a rushing touchdown in the Colonels’ win over West Broward.

Antonio Outler | Palm Beach Lakes: The junior running back ran for 178 yards in a 44-13 win over Glades Central, allowing the Rams to remain unbeaten.

Leonard Shoultz | Dillard: The Panthers junior running back only got six carries in a win over Pahokee on Monday, but he took four of them to the end zone for touchdowns.
