Chris Evert tennis event welcomes back ‘Sex and the City’ star Noth

Mr. Big is returning to the Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic this year.

Actor Chris Noth, who played Carrie Bradshaw’s on-and-off again love interest in HBO’s “Sex and the City,” is one of the celebritie­s that will team up for the three-day Pro-Celebrity charity event that runs from Nov. 22 to 24 and includes two days of celebrity tennis at the Delray Beach Tennis Center, 201W. Atlantic Ave. Delray Beach, FL 33444.

Proceeds fromthe event are distribute­d to programs funded through the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida and the Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County.

Other celebritie­s scheduled to play in the event include celebrity stylist Carson Kressley; “Saturday Night Live” alum Jon Lovitz; “American Idol” winner David Cook, race car driver Hélio Castroneve­s; actors Shawn Hatosy, Tate Donovan and Jamie McShane, and actress Maeve Quinlan.

Earlier this year, itwas announced that singer, songwriter and producer of Bee Gees’ fame Barry Gibb will perform at the event’s black-tie gala on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, 501 E. Camino Real.

The six-time Grammy Award-winning pop star— originally from Britain and nowliving in South Florida— co-wrote songs such as “Staying Alive,” "Night Fever” and “How Deep Is Your Love” in the Bee Gees with his brothers Maurice and Robin.

Hewould go on to co-write and produce more songs including “I Just Want To Be Your Everything,” “Tragedy,” “Woman In Love,” “Grease,” “Islands in the Stream” and more. Hewas knighted Sir Barry Gibb by Prince Charles for his services to music and charity in 2018.

“I am thrilled beyond words that this iconic artist will be performing at our 30th anniversar­y celebratio­n,” Chris Evert said in a statement. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunit­y to hear some of the greatest hits of all time— live!”

Tickets are $750 per person and include dinner, dancing, cocktails, and live and silent auctions. Tickets to the tennis matches range from$20 for general admission to $900 for skyview box seats and can be purchased at ChrisEvert.org/Tickets.

Chase Private Client is the title sponsor of this year’s event.
