ADULT PARTIES AND HAUNTED HOUSES FOR HALLOWEEN
It’s time to scare up a little fun. Halloween-themed pop-ups and parties are starting to jump off here in South Florida. Here’s an insider guide to some dead-loving events that you need in your life.

■ Oct. 4-Nov. 1: Enigma Haunt will once again bring the boo to Boca Raton. For the uninitiated, we’re talking two floors of terror experiences that can take over an hour to traverse in what used to be a Bally’s Gym. The Enigma Haunt is at 1751 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton, and is open 7 to 10:30 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays as well as 7 to 11:45 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $25, $30 and $45. ■ Oct. 11-Nov. 2: For the 18th year, “Fright Nights” will be staged at West Palm Beach’s South Florida Fairgrounds with its legendary haunted houses as well as magicians, stage show and something called “scare zones.” The fairgrounds is at 9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach. The midway is open from 6 to 11 p.m. (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays), while the haunted house opens at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 until Oct. 10. After that, regular admission is $30. For an additional $5, you can move to the front of the line with a RIP (Really Important Person) ticket. The RIP tickets are limited and may be bought on the midway each evening. “Fright Nights” takes place Oct. 11-12, 17-19, 24-26, 31 and Nov. 1-2. For more information, go to MyFrightNights.com.
■ Oct. 11-Nov. 4: “The Haunt on Himmarshee” is a walking haunted tour and haunted house visit in downtown Fort Lauderdale’s historic district, which also shares space with a dining and drinking enclave in Himmarshee Village. The tour starts at 211 SW 2nd St., Fort Lauderdale. The experience takes about 45 minutes. The tour is available from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as well as 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays. Admission is $89. For more information go to FTLauderdaleHaunt.com.
