Ex-player sues Penn St., alleges hazing

-

An ex-Penn State football player claims in a lawsuit that Nittany Lions players hazed him and other younger teammates by imitating sexual acts in the shower and invoking Jerry Sandusky’s name.

Isaiah Humphries, a cornerback from Texas, who spent the 2018 season with the Nittany Lions, filed the lawsuit Monday in federal court against the university, coach James Franklin and one former teammate.

The school’s own investigation found the ex-teammate had committed “prohibited behavior,” the complaint said.

University police turned over results of their investigation to the local district attorney, who declined to prosecute.

Baseball: The Twins and free-agent 3B Josh Donaldson agreed to a four-year deal worth $92 million, according to reports. Donaldson, 34, a three-time All-Star and the 2015 AL MVP, hit .259 with 37 HRs and 94 RBIs in 155 games last season for the Braves . ... The Phillies cut OF Odubel Herrera and claimed OF Nick Martini off waivers. Herrera, 28, an All-Star in 2016, was suspended last season under MLB’s domestic violence policy after his arrest at a casino in Atlantic City, N.J., on domestic assault charges. The charges against Herrera were dismissed, but he remained on the suspended list.
