Dehydratio­n sends Chiefs’ Reid to hospital

Chiefs coach Andy Reid left Arrowhead Stadium in an ambulance after a 30-24 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.

Reid, 63, was treated for dehydratio­n and he’s expected to be fine, ESPN later reported.

Reid addressed the team as he normally would after the game. But he felt ill and departed for a local hospital for examinatio­n. He didn’t address the media as he would normally after a game, leaving that job for assistant head coach Dave Toub.

College football: Utah DB Aaron Lowe was fatally shot early Sunday in Salt Lake City, less than a year after teammate and friend Ty Jordan was killed in an accidental shooting. Lowe was 21 . ... Ohio State senior LB K’Vaughan Pope was dismissed from the team following an incident Saturday in which he was escorted off the field during the Buckeyes’ win against Akron . ... Clemson tumbled to No. 25 in The AP poll, snapping its streak of 97 straight weeks in the top 10. The Tigers (2-2) lost for the second time this season Saturday — falling in double overtime to NC State — and dropped 16 spots from No. 9. Clemson’s top-10 streak was tied with Alabama for the longest current run in college football and second-longest in the history of the AP poll, behind Miami’s 137 from 1985 to 1993. The Crimson Tide remained No. 1 with 58 first-place votes out of 62. No. 2 Georgia received the remaining four firstplace votes.

NBA: Suns G Devin Booker will miss the start of training camp after being placed in the league’s health and safety protocols. The Suns didn’t provide any specific details.

Golf: Nasa Hataoka claimed a one-shot victory at the Northwest Arkansas Championsh­ip in Rogers, Arkansas. It was the fifth career LPGA title for the 22-year-old from Japan . ... K.J. Choi earned his first career PGA Tour Champions title with a two-stroke victory at PURE Insurance Championsh­ip at Pebble Beach in California.
