Exercise your mind and body at Nov. 2 ‘Keep Memories Alive’ walk
Florida Atlantic University’s Caring Hearts Auxiliary of the Louis and Anne Green Memory andWellness Center will host the ninth annual “Keep Memories Alive - Exercise Your Mind” walkNov. 2 at 9 a.m. at the Town Center at Boca Raton, located at 6000 Glades Road in Boca Raton.
Funds raised at the walk support the Center’s state-of-the art, evidence-based programs and services that are vital to patients and families living with memory disorders.
Sy Flaster has witnessed firsthand the positive effects the Center’s programs have had on his wife of 59 years, Anita. The Center has given Anita the ability to socialize and has reignited her love of art.
“Every piece of artwork she creates is better than the last,” said Flaster. “When she is happy, I amhappy.” The Flasters will serve as the honorary family of this year’s walk.

The Center averages 10,000 visits per year and offers a wide range of services and programs to individuals with mild to moderate memory disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.
This year, event participants are encouraged to walk in teams or as individuals. Walkers will “Exercise Their Minds” with various games, exercises and entertainment located throughout the mall.
