Publisher’s note: Alook back at everything fabulous in 2015

Sun Sentinel Palm Beach Edition - Society Scene - Palm Beach - - Front Page -

It’s the time of year when we want to make an impact— on our world, on the people who live in our community, on those we know and on those we hope to meet.

As I was searching for ways to do just that, I couldn’t help but think of this past year and the impact this community and the people who live here have made on my life. Everywhere I went, I ran into in-the-know and interesting folks who inspire me and exemplify the spirit of this town. I amfortunate to experience some of the very best South Florida has to offer and for that I amforever grateful. Here’s just a few of the highlights:

Judging the MissArc Broward pageant. Acelebration of love and acceptance, and a moment when these girls have the power to do anything they are willing to try. Atrue gift I will never forget. And thanks to MissKatie’s Charm School for making me pageant fabulous!

Touring some of the finest yachts and water toys at the annual Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. Thanks Captain Dave and Jason for showing me around the Marbella. Now, when do we leave for vacation?

What’s better than watching NASCAR? Oh, that would be taking a few (very fast) laps around the track with aNASCAR driver. Thanks to the Coca-Cola racing team, Liane Carmen and Jone Salter for sharing this ultimate racing experience. I feel the need for speed!

Myparents, who celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. It’s awe-inspiring to see the wonderful world that is created simply as a result of two people who truly belong together.

If sports is the common denominator in the world that brings people together, then shopping with Jason Taylor sure helps makes the world go round! Thanks to the Jason Taylor Foundation’s10th annual “Cool Gear for the School Year,” 60 deserving children went on a fabulous shopping spree. What a treat to help put smiles on some amazing kids’ faces.

Being honored by two incredible organizations that I amproud to be part of: Debbie’s Dream Foundation and Special Olympics. I amamazed by everything you accomplish.

Football for a cure. With the whole stadium “pinked out,” the inaugural “AutoNation Cure Bowl” was an amazing experience. Yes, it was a football game, but it had special meaning to so many in attendance from the players to the fans and to some of my closest friends. More than $1million was donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. We can tackle this!

Atrip to Napa to see my amazing niece and some fabulous sister time in wine country— I mean, when in Rome, right?

Who didn’t love “Dynasty” and Krystal Carrington? What a treat to meet Linda Evans at the "Reflections of Hope" luncheon, which benefited the mental health services of Ruth& Norman Rales Jewish Family Services. She shared her own personal story and when she was finished, I just couldn’t help but like her even more. She was such a delight.

The weddings of Felicia and Dominic, and Molly and Matt— I just love love!

One of my favorite events, the “Law Enforcement Torch Run” for Special Olympics. Hundreds of Florida’s finest come together to protect the Special Olympics “Flame of Hope” and get it to the state games, all while working to inspire communities and promote acceptance. Each year, I witness pure love, respect and commitment from Special Olympics athletes and officers alike. It’s like watching Batman run beside Superman.

So proud of the most perfect nephew on graduating fromUniversity of California — Davis. Oh, the places you’ll go!

Thanks to the Kravis Center for the PerformingArts for the opportunity to spend some time chatting with John Stamos when he was here playing with the Beach Boys. I have only loved him since he was Blackie on “General Hospital!” Talk about a California Dream.

Continuing the traditions of attending Marlins Opening Day and Panthers OpeningNight withmy sports soul sisters! Girls who love sports just rock.

Thanksgiving in Sea Ranch, California, and the Gualala holiday truck parade. What’s better than lining the

I have been blessed with incredible family and friends during all stages of my
