Time to show support

More than 200 struggling Broward families face grim holidays with last weekend’s catastrophic fire that destroyed the EASE Foundation’s headquarters at the Police Athletic League Foundation in Davie.

The fire destroyed the offices and storeroom filled with food supplies and toys the organization planned to distribute for the holiday season.

EASE (Emergency Assistance Service Effort) Foundation operates on a $500,000 annual budget to lend a hand to hard-working families besieged with rising bills and lower income. Aswe all know, there is still plenty of distress to go around in South Florida.

Moss& Associates has made a donation to go toward the foundation’s most immediate needs, as well as provided them with a computer and printer so they can get up and running without delay. We are directing our Thanksgiving food drive and Christmas toy drive to the organization. That’s just a very small start.

EASE has been there for our neighbors. Nowthe foundation itself is in desperate need to continue its good works. Nowis the time for the community to come together. Contributions in any amount can be sent to EASE at 6901Orange Drive, Davie, FL 33314.

EASE is a great cause andwould brighten holidays for families— our neighbors— still facing challenging times.
