Lawnmower catches fire; woman hurt

A woman suffered burns to more than 25 percent of her body Saturday when she was fueling a lawnmower and a fire broke out, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.

The woman was taken by helicopter to Delray Medical Center’s trauma unit, said FireRescue Capt. Albert Borroto. Her name and latest condition weren’t released.

The incident happened shortly before noon in the 1200 block of West Pine Street.

Fire-rescue workers responded after receiving calls from neighbors, who sawthe blaze.
