Several attractions offer free admission formother’s Day
To help moms enjoy Mother’sDay, some local attractions today are offering them free admission. Take, for example, Butterfly World at 3600W. Sample Road in Coconut Creek (954-977-4434), where adult entry regularly costs $24.95.
“Anywoman who identifies themselves as a mom, whether they are 20 or 120, is given free admission and wishedHappyMother’s Day,” states ButterflyWorld. com. “This is ourway of giving them the royal treatment they deserve and spreading joy at the same time.”
Elsewhere, moms accompanied by someone paying regular admission pay nothing today to roam the sprawling tree-shaded grounds and house of BonnetHouseMuseum& Gardens, 900N. Birch Road, Fort Lauderdale (954-563-5393). That’s a nice savings, as normal admission is $20 per adult, $17 for Broward residents with ID.
Mothers also get in free today at Flamingo Gardens, 3750 S. Flamingo Road in Davie (954-473-2955), so long as they’re accompanied by someone paying regular admission.
In addition, the Miami Children’sMuseum (305-373-5437) offers free admission today to moms. So does the Miami Science Museum (305-646-4200), so long as they’re accompanied by a child who pays regular price.
Everyone gets in free this coming Saturday to visit the Boca RatonMuseum of Art, 501 Plaza Real (561-392-2500), where adult admission normally costs $8. The freebie is in honor of InternationalMuseumDay. Also gratis is its 2 p.m. showing that day of a documentary on social artist Jose Clemente Orozco called “Orozco: Man of Fire.”
