Lantana student faces prostitution charge after cops track online ad
Police busted a self-employed student on a prostitution charge after her landlord grew suspicious of the number of people coming to her apartment, according to a Lantana Police Department arrest report.
The landlord called police on Monday after seeing a lot of people coming and going into the apartment of Mallory Elise Kamerman, 28, of Lantana, according to the report.
Police said the landlord gave them a BackPage.com ad for Kamerman that offered an “hour session” of body rubs for $200 and half hour for $125 and featured a photo and phone number.
An undercover officer called the number and met with Kamerman at her apartment in the 600 block of South Broadway Street, where he was escorted to her bedroom wearing a listening device, according to the report.
The officer summarized the conversation, whichwent like this:
“Oh yes, I do full service, everything,” she told the officer after agreeing to a half-hour session.
Two backup officers barged into the apartment and handcuffed Kamerman when they got a predetermined signal from the undercover officer.
To make mattersworse for Kamerman, police say she was already on felony probation.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show at least five previous arrests for Kamerman with her last arrest Feb 13 on a possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and use of narcotics equipment.
Shewas booked into Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Monday where she is held in lieu of $500 bail. She faces prostitution and probation violation charges.
The BackPage.com website last made headlines when a Boynton Beach mother/ daughter duo were busted on prostitution charges. Ramona Ramoutar, 43, aka “Jazmine,” and Daniella Eshtie Sinanan, 24, aka “Angel,” were arrested on Aug. 6, after posting escort ads on thewebsite and others.
