Resort’s one-time offer
Eau Palm Beach Resort has family pass for $15,000.
The ritzy Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa is opening up its elite club to more locals who want a slice of the “new-fashioned Palm Beach luxury” experience it is now touting.
South Floridians with a taste for the good life — and money to spare — now have the opportunity to purchase family memberships to the Manalapan resort’s exclusive La Coquille Club for a one-time fee of $15,000.
Just recently, town officials approved a limited number of new memberships for non-Manalapan residents, the resort announced earlier thisweek.
Before the Eau Palm Beach (formerly the RitzCarlt on Palm Beach) was built in the early 1990s, the site was home to the La Coquille Club, a private and lavish getaway for Manalapan residents only.
The club was built by oil magnate John D. Rockefeller`s grandson in 1952 as a playground for the rich. It was razed in1986.
Today, La Coquille Club is an exclusive area of the resort where members have their own private space to enjoy meals with family and friends or quiet time to read and relax, said John Bradway, director of marketing.
Club members can enjoy all resort amenities such as the private beach, two swimming pools, the fitness center and spa, Bradway said.
Also new this year, the 309-room resort is offering all-access summer family passes to locals whowant to vacation close to home but still feel like they’re “miles away fromthe mainstream.”
“For those who want more than just a taste, locals can also treat Eau’s worldclass and award-winning facilities like their own, for an all-summer price of $5,000,” Bradway explained.
South Floridians can also enjoy the resort for the day with the purchase of spa treatment of $250 or more. This “Eau-cean” pass gets them access to its private beach, pool and amenities after their spa visit.
Both promotions are available through Sept. 30.
The all-access summerlong pass program was add- ed to give locals the opportunity to become more familiar with its new Eau Palm Beach brand identify, product and service, Bradway said.
Other high-end hotels in Palm Beach also offer exclusive memberships for locals to enjoy resort amenities such as golf, tennis and the beach aswell as upscale dining venues.
For many years, The Breakers Palm Beach has offered summer memberships to its Ocean Club and Breakers West Country Club, said Bonnie Reuben, marketing and communications representative.
This year, dues for the Ocean Club summer membership costs $6,307 plus a $1,000 refundable deposit, while Breakers West fee is $1961 plus a $500 refundable deposit, according to its website thebreakers.com.
“We find that as we continually enhance our amenities at the resort and Breakers West, these summer memberships among locals continue to growin popularity,” Reuben said.
