of Coral Springs caught 61 bass, 22 Mayan cichlids, some oscars, spotted sunfish and warmouths in the L-5 along the Broward-Palm Beach county line.

of Miami and his father, , of Hollywood, caught 60 bass up to 3.5 pounds, 30 oscars, chain pickerel and warmouths in the north canal at Sawgrass Recreation Park.

of Stuart caught 16 peacocks up to 3.5 pounds on a morning trip in the C-8 in Miami Lakes. and of New York caught 15 peacocks up to 3 pounds in the G-15 along I-595. of Birmingham, Ala., and of Indianapol­is caught 23 peacocks up to 5 pounds and three largemouth­s up to 3 pounds in the Lake Ida chain. and caught a two-day total of 46 pounds to win the Weekend Bassers tournament on Lake Kissimmee out of Grape Hammock. and were second at 34.7. and were third at 30.4. had the big bass at 10.1. Trudel had the second biggest at 9.5.
