The Heat have won their last five season openers and six of their last seven, with their last four season openers coming at home . . . The last time the Heat opened on the road, they won 105-94 on Dec. 25, 2011 in the lockout-delayed start to that season . . . The opening-night lineup last season featured three players no longer in a Heat uniform: Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Luol Deng. This will be only the second opening-night Heat starts for Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside . . . This will be the 17th consecutiv­e year the Heat will open with a different season-opening lineup than the previous season. The last time the Heat opened with the same opening-night lineup in consecutiv­e years was in 1998 and '99, when the starters were Jamal Mashburn, P.J. Brown, Alonzo Mourning, Dan Majerle and Tim Hardaway . . . The Heat closed the preseason at 4-4, with the Magic going 2-5 . . . For the Heat, Wayne Ellington (quadriceps), Josh McRoberts (foot) and Josh Richardson (knee) are all out . . . For the Magic, Jodie Meeks (foot) is out and Bismack Biyombo to serve a one-game NBA suspension for flagrant fouls during the 2016 playoffs with the Toronto Raptors. Off the court: The game will feature the raising of a No. 49 banner in honor of the 49 victims in the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando on June 12, the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. The Magic have announced that the team's opening night, "will be dedicated to those who lost their lives and those whose lives have been forever changed."
