TooJay’s remodels Florida locations
TooJay’s Multiple locations, Toojays.com This New York-style deli chain, based in West Palm Beach with 28 locations, is in the middle of revitalizing its décor statewide.
The redesigns, which launched the previous summer, are due to be finished in two or three years. The Boca Raton locations have been most recently completed. Lake Worth and Jupiter are up next.
"TooJay's is honored to be serving loyal guests for 35 years, and at the same time we realize the importance of creative thinking and planning for the future," CEO Chris Artinian says. "Our new restaurants and remodels illustrate it’s possible to preserve our heritage in a fresh, contemporary setting."
Color schemes vary, but warm dark wood is replacing lighter wood. The sleeker ambiance emulates a vintage New York deli with subway tiles in the deli and bakery areas, white-and-black penny tiles on the entrance floor, globe lights and iconic black-and-white photos of New York City. A wood wall divider lends a window effect into the dining room.
Four new Harvest Grain Bowls ($11.49-$14.99), such as grilled chicken bruschetta or herb-crusted salmon, are accompanying the remodeling.
The newest location is at Palm Beach Outlets in West Palm Beach, with more opening in Pembroke Pines by 2017 and in Fort Lauderdale by 2018.
