Two Boca Raton companies announced acquisitions over the past week.

Health care staffing company Cross Country Healthcare has acquired U. S. Resources Healthcare, a recruitment process outsourcing provider based in Nashville, Tenn.; and software business Cendyn has acquired Guestfolio Communications, a marketing platform for boutique hotels.

Neither acquiring company disclosed deal terms. Cendyn said its acquisition of Guestfolio was a “multimillion dollar” transaction.

Cross Country provides clinicians for physician groups, hospitals, ambulatory centers and schools. Its new acquisition handles recruitment, interviewing, reference checks and new employee orientation.

“The acquisition enhances existing services of outsourcing the internal recruitment function for health-care facilities,” said William Grubb, CEO of Cross Country. The recruitment processing business won’t be moving to Boca Raton, but functions including payroll and billing will be managed from Cross Country’s Boca Raton office, he said. About 20 employees will join Cross Country in the acquisition.

Cross Country Healthcare has been expanding office space as well as making acquisitions. Cross Country’s corporate headquarters is 5201 Congress Ave. and its travel nursing division is at 6551 Park of Commerce Blvd. Cross Country employs about 650 people in Boca Raton.

A public company whose stock is traded on Nasdaq, Cross Country Healthcare reported $767 million in revenues in 2015, a 24-percent increase over $618 million a year earlier. The stock price has a 52-week range of $9.72 to $17.88.

Cendyn is a private, cloudbased software business specializing in the travel and hospitality industry with North American operations headquartered at 980 N. Federal Highway in Boca Raton. The company serves more than 30,000 clients in 143 countries from office locations in Boca Raton, Atlanta, Boston, Toronto, London and Singapore.

Tim Sullivan, Cendy’s chief sales and marketing officer, said Cendyn acquired Guestfolio because the latter company was “stronger in the hotel boutique segment” than Cendyn.

Guestfolio’s 25 employees will be joining Cendyn. Duane Hepditch, CEO of Guestfolio, will become Cendyn’s senior vice president of product marketing. The remainder of the Guestfolio employees will serve as the West Coast hub for Cendyn, with offices in Whistler, British Columbia, said Michael Bennett, a spokesman for Cendyn.

Cendyn employs about 225 people in Boca Raton and is advertising more than 40 job openings on its website. Available positions include senior financial reporting analyst, HR generalist, advertising operations manager, digital marketing coordinator and project manager.
