This modern industrial restaurant with Chicago brick and an open-air bar has launched lunch service Monday through Saturday a year after opening.
“The menu was designed to offer a lunch experience in a quick manner for business-oriented guests, along with an upscale casual lunch for those choosing to have a glass of wine while relaxing through lunch,” general manager Rick Hamilton says.
One of his favorites is the grilled chicken panini with basil pesto and fontina ($14). “It is layered with flavors. The tomato jam complements the chicken and gives a punch to the artichokes,” he says.
He also favors the beer-battered fish ’n’ chips made with Canadian cod ($18). “It’s a perfect batter to lift the flavor of the fish, not overwhelm it,” Hamilton says.
Other highlights include the bourbonbarbecue-bacon burger with fried onions ($16), primavera pizza ($16) and grilled octopus salad with red-wine vinaigrette ($20).
Hits taken from the dinner menu are the sushi stack topped with tempura crunchies ($15), the Foundry Burger with red-onion marmalade, Gruyere and bacon ($16) and lobster-crab ravioli in lemon-butter sauce ($24).
Look for their next concept, a gastrobpub called the Electric Owl Bar + Kitchen, next summer in Pompano Beach.
