Mansion with ‘floating’ bedroom lists for $14M
CORAL GABLES — Driving through the streets of Coral Gables, one cannot help but notice the city’s distinct Mediterranean style of architecture — clay barrel-tile roofs, arched windows and wrought iron-lined balconies.
Condores Capital, a Chilean luxury homes developer with an office in Miami, is breaking with that tradition by introducing a modern flair to its recently completed spec home. The asking price: $14 million.
Situated on the waterways of Old Cutler, 445 Solano Prado sits on 171 square feet of water frontage, which is a stone’s throw from Biscayne Bay.
“The lot was picked because of its location,” said Danny Hertzberg, of The Jills team, who listed the home. “A canal opens up to a large waterway which functions like a lake until you reach the ocean — they had their eye on the lot for this home.”
Records show the property was purchased by 445 Solano Prado LLC in 2015 for $4.8 million.
The 7,398-square-foot estate features seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms and one half-bathroom, as well as an infinity pool and spa.

The floating master creates a large, shaded sitting area in the back of the home which can be accessed by two of the lower bedrooms.
“It’s a real wow factor, and it’s
