All right! McConaughey movie filming in Miami
Miami might be hearing, “All right, all right, all right” often in the next few weeks. An open casting call is underway for a new Matthew McConaughey movie scheduled to start filming there next month.
An open casting call is underway for a new Matthew McConaughey movie that starts filming in Miami next month, according to WPLG.com.
Producers of “The Beach Bum,” which will also star rapper Snoop Dogg, are looking for extras and some featured roles.
These include: upscale Palm Beach types and hipsters; beach bum and tourist types; city bus extras; courtroom extras to play a court reporter, lawyers and a bailiff; customers heading in and out of a gas station; hospital extras and children of all ages, according to WPLG.
Filming is expected to last four weeks in Miami and two weeks in Key West.
How much would this gig pay? WPLG reports that the pay is $119 per 12 hours or $68 per eight hours, with potential overtime.

The movie follows “a rebellious stoner named Moondog” who “lives life by his own rules,’’ according to IMDB.com.
It was written and is being directed by Harmony Korine, known for his 2012 movie “Spring Breakers,” which was shot in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota. Korine also wrote and directed that film, which starred James Franco, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens.
McConaughey, an Academy Award winner, recently starred in the Stephen King movie “The Dark Tower” and finished filming another movie in the 305.
That film, “White Boy Rick,” follows the true story of Richard Wershe Jr., a teenager who was an undercover informant for the FBI during the 1980s and a drug dealer, according to IMBD.com. McConaughey plays the teen’s dad.
The movie, which also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, will be released in 2018.
