President Donald Trump was back on the links Sunday morning, golfing with Sen. Lindsey Graham, RS.C.

On the coldest morning in South Florida in nearly two years, Trump and Graham were at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach by 10 a.m.

Trump tweeted about the pending tax bill before he went to his club. Trump and Graham, who has become a regular golf partner for the president, discussed the tax bill and upcoming budget talks after they teed off, said White House spokesman Raj Shah.

“Getting closer and closer on the Tax Cut Bill. Shaping up even better than projected,” Trump said on Twitter. “House and Senate working very hard and smart. End result will be not only important, but SPECIAL!”

Trump has set a Christmas deadline for signing the bill into law, giving lawmakers named to a special conference committee two weeks to iron out major differences in the House and Senate versions of the legislation. The conference committee has scheduled its first formal meeting for Wednesday.

The president returned to Mar-a-Lago about 2:30 p.m., where a party for A Safe Haven for Newborns was set up on the lawn.

For the first time in nine presidential visits to Mar-aLago, Trump did not go to one of his golf courses on Saturday. Instead, he was in Mississippi for the opening of a civil rights museum. When he returned to Palm Beach in the mid-afternoon, he planned to watch the Army-Navy football game.

“I’m rooting for both. I hope it’s going to be a great game,” the president told the press on Air Force One before the game.

Trump boarded Air Force about 5:20 p.m. to return to Washington.
