Pompano apartment tower tops off
High-tech, luxury development Avery set to open in 2019
POMPANO BEACH — The Avery Pompano Beach — an eight-story, high-tech apartment tower north of East Atlantic Boulevard and a short trip from the beach — has been topped off and is scheduled for a first-quarter 2019 opening.
Stuart I. Meyers, chairman and CEO of the Meyers Group, said the developer started planning the project when Pompano Beach was starting its resurgence as a tourism destination.
Located at the corner of U.S. 1 and Northeast Fourth Street, just two blocks north of East Atlantic Boulevard, the building will offer 144 tech-enabled rental apartments ranging in size from 787 square feet to 1,436 square feet.
“Topping off Avery Pompano Beach is a major milestone for us as a company,” Meyers said in a statement. “One year after breaking ground, Pompano Beach has been voted the No. 1 Florida beach vacation town and has emerged as one of South Florida’s trendiest new neighborhoods to watch.”
The ranking was determined by Money Magazine.
The Avery, Meyers added, “offers residents the chance to live in a luxury development at a market rate price.” The monthly rents start at $1,600.
The company said Avery Pompano Beach will be “Wi-Fi ready and will feature built-in USB chargers, keyless unit entry locks and high-tech security systems.”
Units will include contemporary, interior sliding doors; large walk-in closets; a movable kitchen island; washers and dryers; and an in-home bar in select units. They also will contain highenergy efficiency, air-conditioning units; low-flow water fixtures; and “smarthome” technology to control energy, light and temperature.
Avery also intends to build several hundred units at the sprawling Dania Pointe mixed-use project now under construction in Dania Beach east of Interstate 95.
