Four races in Broward and Palm Beach counties are almost certainly headed for a recount.

Pompano Beach Mayor

Out of four candidates Rex Hardin and Mike Sobel garnered 40.43 percent and 40.03 percent of the vote, respectively. The 0.4 percent difference is enough for a machine recount.

Plantation Mayor

In this five-person mayoral race, Lynn Stoner came out on top with 30.25 percent of the vote. Second place went to Peter Tingom with 29.77 percent of the vote. The 0.48 percent vote difference out of 34,891 votes cast means a machine recount.

West Park City Commission Seat 1

Anthony Dorsett got 50.17 percent and Katrina Touchstone got 49.83 percent of the 4,347 votes cast. Just 15 votes separate them. The 0.34 percent difference between them means a machine recount.

State House District 89

In a district that covers most of Boca Raton and Delray Beach east of Military Trail, along with barrier islands and beach through Palm Beach Shores, Republican Mike Caruso holds a 124-vote lead over Democrat Jim Bonfiglio out of 77,862 cast. That 0.16 percent lead means a hand recount in the race.
